World Estuarine Alliance

The World Estuary Alliance, launched by World Wide Fund for Nature in Shanghai, is founded on a belief that human development and nature conservation go together while coping with climate change. It reflects the understanding that nature is not a problem, but can be part of the solution.
We are looking for cooperation bewteen engineers, ecologists, scientists, city planners and many others to make sustainable innovations reality. The World Estuary Alliance works together with the Delta Alliance to raise awareness of the ecological and economic value of healthy estuaries and deltas, to distributre knowledge and science on best practices in estuaries and its riverbasins and to stimulate implementatation of best practices in member-estuaries and deltas.
